LeGette Homers Again, Softball Moves To 14-0

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - Carolina softball moved to 14-0 on Saturday afternoon with a 5-2 win over Princeton.

Emily LeGette continued her insane week, clubbing her fifth home run in the last three days. This time it was a go-ahead two run shot to deep the opposite field.

Lilly Parrish got the start but faced adversity in the first two frames and was eventually relieved by Kendall Frost. She proceeded to throw 4.2 innings, only allowing one run and striking out three Tiger batters.

Nicole Knox blasted her first career home run to right center to put the Tar Heels up 4-1 in the second inning. She becomes the 13th Tar Heel hitter to hit a home run this season.

Sanaa Thompson added an extra run on a fielder's choice in the fourth inning to make it 5-1.

Carly Maxton came in with one out in the seventh and made quick work of two Princeton hitters to lock down the win.
