Softball Drops Series Finale To No. 10 Florida State

TALLAHASSEE, FLA. – Carolina softball dropped the series finale to No. 10 Florida State 10-2.
Jil Livengood was outstanding through the first three innings, only allowing a run and giving the UNC offense a chance to get into the game.
Lexie Roberts did just that, tying things up with an RBI single in the third inning.
In the fourth inning, Florida State broke through with six runs to take a commanding 7-1 lead.
Emily LeGette made history in the fifth inning, blasting her 24th home run of the season which ties the program record set by Kristen Brown in 2015. It was also the Tar Heel 92nd home run of the season which ties the previous record set in 2015.
