Two Top-10 Road Matches On Tap For Men's Tennis

The North Carolina men's tennis team will travel west to play its final two road dual matches of the 2025 regular season and face a pair of top-10, Atlantic Coast Conference foes this weekend.
The Tar Heels, ranked No. 47 in this week's Intercollegiate Tennis Association team rankings, will visit ninth-ranked Stanford on Friday at 6:30 p.m. PDT (9:30 p.m. EDT) and 10th-rated California on Sunday at noon PDT (3 p.m. EDT). Both the Cardinal and the Golden Bears are in their first year in the expanded ACC.
Carolina has won three of its last four matches and is 12-7 overall this season, including 6-4 in the ACC. The Tar Heels are tied for sixth in the conference standings with Clemson, Virginia and Florida State.
Stanford (16-5, 7-3 ACC) has won three in a row and is 6-0 at home this season. Cal (16-2, 8-2 ACC) enters the weekend on a nine-match winning streak and is 6-0 at home in Berkeley.
Following this weekend's road trip, the Tar Heels will return home to host Duke next Saturday April 12 in the final match of the regular season at home at the Chewning Tennis Center. The ACC Championships are slated to begin on Wednesday April 16 in Cary, N.C.
