Men's Tennis Tops FSU, 4-3, For Paul's 600th Career Win

TALLAHASSEE, FLA.—North Carolina's men's tennis team beat Florida State, 4-3, to clinch head coach Sam Paul's 600th career coaching win on Sunday afternoon at the Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.
Paul improved his head coaching record to 600-261, all at Carolina, extending his record as the winningest active head coach in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Seminoles led, 3-1, before UNC roared back with three consecutive singles wins to seize the team victory.
UNC won the doubles point and picked up singles wins on courts three, four and five to grab the win. Niels Ratiu clinched the team victory with his three-set triumph on court four.
The Tar Heels won their second match in a row and improved to 13-9 overall and 6-6 in the ACC with the victory. It was Carolina's second road win of the weekend after also winning at Miami on Friday.
The Seminoles dropped to 12-13, 3-9.

Carolina will conclude its regular season on Saturday April 11 at Duke.

• Carolina grabbed doubles wins on courts one and two to take a 1-0 lead.
• Ratiu and Chris Xu started things off with a 6-2 win on No. 2 over Justin Lyons and Mohammad Alkotop.
• After FSU's Gabor Hornung and Luis Felipe Miguel topped Ian Mayew and Logan Zapp, 7-6 (5) on court three, the 34th-ranked duo of Roan Jones and Anthony Wright beat Jan Sebesta and Erik Schiessl, 7-5 on court one to clinch the doubles point.
