Friday Night At Dorrance
• Friday's game is Carolina Fever, with all UNC students receiving two Fever points.
• In addition, the first 400 UNC students will receive a free Carolina Lacrosse t-shirt.
A Win Over Stony Brook Would.....
• Improve Carolina's all-time record over the Seawolves to 8-0.
• Help Carolina start 2-0 for the 12th-straight season.
• Be Coach Breschi's 253rd career win, and 161st win as the Tar Heels' leader.
Season Opener Success
• After Saturday's win over Michigan, Carolina is 48-20 all-time in season openers, including an active 27-game season opener win streak, dating back to 1999.
• The streak is the second-longest in the country, behind Maryland's 32-game win streak.
• The win for the Tar Heels was the first top-15 season opening victory since 2004, a 12-7 win over No. 7 UMass.
Gianforcaro Named ACC Defensive Player Of The Week
• On Tuesday, Tar Heel goalkeeper Michael Gianforcaro was named the ACC's Defensive Player of the Week.
• In his Carolina debut, the Lincoln University, Pa. product made 12 saves, his 24th career double-digit save performance.
• Gianforcaro became the first Tar Heel to win ACC Defensive weekly honors since Collin Krieg in 2021.
New Faces, New Places
• The Tar Heels welcomed five transfers in the fall to the program:
