I think this will be an exciting year for Jimmy.
He's probably the most athletic player on our team. He runs the field very well and plays both ends of the field extremely well.
He doesn't have the pressure of the world on him this year because with our improved depth. He's going to be able to play relaxed, more fluidly if you will, play within himself and take advantage of the opportunities that he has.
He doesn't have to start our offense every time and he doesn't have to be the guy that scores two or three goals.
He's really taken on a leadership role so that's been a positive for us so far this year.
General: Face-Off Yearbook preseason honorable mention All-America selection...was the 22nd pick in the 2012 MLL draft, being taken in the third round by the Chesapeake Bayhawks.
2012 (Senior): Named to fall semester 2011 Dean's List.
2011 (Junior): 2011 USILA honorable mention All-America selection...started all 15 games he played in last year...had 13 goals and eight assists for 21 points...matched his career high for goals with four against Dartmouth...equaled his career high for assists in a game with three against Lehigh...notched a pair of goals in win at Maryland...had a goal and an assists versus Johns Hopkins...had a goal and an assist against Virginia...had one goal in each of the first four games of the season...had 19 ground balls and six caused turnovers...matched his career high for four ground balls in a game with four versus Lehigh...also had three ground balls versus Navy...Face-off Yearbook preseason second-team All-American selection...also chosen to Face-off Yearbook's preseason All-ACC Team...named to the fall semester 2010 Dean's List at UNC...2010-11 ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
2010 (Sophomore): USILA honorable mention All-America selection in the midfield... was Carolina's sixth-leading scorer with 30 points...scored 17 goals and had 13 assists...that assist total matched the fourth highest on the squad...scored two man-up goals and had 24 ground balls... named the ACC Player of the Week on March 22, 2010 after outstanding performances against Princeton and Dartmouth...had nine points in those two games including a career high five versus the Tigers on two goals and three assists...against the Big Green he had two goals, two assists and a season-high three ground balls...had a career-high four goals against Duke in the NCAA quarterfinals...finished that game with five points, matching his career high, and scored his four goals on only five shots...had a four-point game against Lehigh (3g, 1a)...had a goal and an assist in wins over Maryland, Johns Hopkins and Delaware...had five games with three ground balls.
2009 (Freshman): Shared the team's Jay Gallagher Award as the outstanding freshman on the team...was the team's seventh-leading scorer with 21 points in 17 games...had 13 goals and eight assists...was sixth on the team in goals scored...also had 23 ground balls...had a season-high three points twice against Duke -- 1 goal, 2 assists in regular season game and 2 goals, 1 assist in NCAA game...had two-goal efforts against Colgate and Detroit...season high for ground balls was four against UMBC...also had a goal and an assist versus the Retrievers...had two-point games (1g, 1a) against Notre Dame and Maryland in ACC Tournament.
Prep: Was ranked as the No. 55 recruit in the country in the senior class of 2008 by Inside Lacrosse magazine...a 2008 graduate of Greenwich High School...played both lacrosse (midfield and attack) and football (running back, wide receiver, cornerback) there...was coached in lacrosse by Paul Burke...the lax team he played on won the first county championship in school history...the football team won back-to-back county and state championships...named Greenwich High athlete of the year his senior year...on the lacrosse field, he was an All-America selection as a junior and senior...was first-team All-State on three occasions...two-time All-County honoree, two-time team MVP and the team captain as a senior...on the gridiron he was two-time All-State, two-time All-County and the team captain...honor roll student...House Scholar...played club lacrosse with the Connecticut Chargers. 1. The best thing about being a Tar Heel lacrosse player is the guys on the team.
2. My favorite thing about competing for Coach Breschi is his passion and intensity for the game.
3. Since last year the aspect of my training I've worked on the most is conditioning.
4. My best friend on another college lacrosse team is Brian Milazzo.
Section #2 (Jimmy's Interests)
1. Away from the lacrosse field and academic pursuits I like to spend time hanging out on the couch playing cards.
2. The best movie I've seen recently is Tenure.
3. If I could compete in another sport at UNC it would be golf.
4. The music act I'd most like to see in person is Tom Petty.
5. The personal interest I have that might surprise my teammates is keeping the house clean.

1. After a game at Fetzer Field, I'd like to see a tailgate spread that included burgers and hotdogs.
2. My favorite beverage is pomegranate seltzer water.
3. My favorite food made by a relative is my great grandma's chicken.
4. My favorite place to eat in Chapel Hill is The Front Porch.
5. My favorite guilty pleasure food wise is Twinkies.
