No. 1 Women's Lacrosse Heads West To Face Cal Thursday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 1 North Carolina women's lacrosse will head west to Cal for an ACC match-up on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Heels will look to stay undefeated and push their unbeaten streak to 30 games, which would be the longest streak in school history. This will be the second all-time match-up between the two teams with UNC winning the inaugural meeting last season, 21-7.

- Now in her 31st season, HC Jenny Levy now has a career record of 450-130. The 450 wins rank second all-time and her four National Championships rank fourth all-time.

- Carolina's defense held opponents to 6.9 goals per game in 2025, which ranked first in both the ACC and NCAA. This year, the Heels are holding opponents to just 6.7 goals per game, which is fourth nationally and first in the ACC.Â
- The nation's best player, Chloe Humphrey, is off to a hot start for the Heels with 36 goals and 15 assists. - Kate Levy and Addison Pattillo were added to the Tewaaraton Award watch list for their strong starts to the season. Levy is tied for fourth on the team in points (19) with 11 goals and eight assists. She's also added nine groundballs, six caused turnovers and two draw controls. Pattillo is second on the team with 19 goals to go along with three assists, seven groundballs and nine caused turnovers.
- Kaleigh Harden continues to be UNC's unsung hero in the midfield. She leads the team with 33 draw controls to go along with five goals, an assist, nine groundballs and six caused turnovers.
- Sam Forrest and Brooklyn Walker-Welch are back playing together now that Walker-Welch has returned from injury. The dynamic defensive duo continues to make life hard on opposing offenses. With them leading the way, UNC tallied 18 caused turnovers and forced 24 total turnovers versus Pitt, while allowing just seven shots, including none in the first half.
- Sarah Gresham currently sits at 296 career draw controls and only needs three more to hit 300.
