No. 1 Women’s Lacrosse Sets Program Record With 30th Straight Win

BERKELEY, Calif. – Top-ranked North Carolina women's lacrosse came out firing and didn't look back as it defeated Cal, 20-3, for its 30th consecutive victory on Thursday evening. The 30 straight wins set a program record and rank sixth all-time in Division I history.
Carolina jumped out to an 11-0 lead through one quarter and cruised the rest of the way. Addison Pattillo led the way with a career-high five goals, while Betty Nelson made four saves in the first half and allowed only one goal before giving way to Brigid Carovillano for the second half.
Eliza Osburn and Kiley Mottice both added hat tricks on the evening, while Chloe Humphrey added a pair of goals and assists. Sarah Gresham finished with five draw controls to push her career total over 300 and Kaleigh Harden matched her season high with seven draw controls.
Carolina was ridiculous defensively again, allowing just 11 shots, while forcing 19 turnovers including 12 caused turnovers.

- After some confusion, Eliza Osburn's shot appeared to hit the post but actually went in to open the scoring for the Tar Heels.
- Caroline Godine quickly made it two and the Tar Heels led 2-0 two minutes in.
- Three straight draw controls and three straight goals as Eva Ingrilli finished off an assist from Kiley Mottice.
- Kate Levy caused a turnover and the transition offense resulted in Addison Pattillo going straight to goal and firing home to make it 4-0.
- Osburn forced a turnover deep in Cal's end and buried it for her second.
- Chloe Humphrey got on the board with her 36th of the season to give UNC a 6-0 lead.
- Pattillo added another one off a free position.
- Darcy Felter buried one in the crease off a feed form Humphrey to make it 8-0.
- Pattillo with four goals in the first quarter to match her career high and UNC led 10-0.
- Mottice notched her first right before the quarter break to give UNC an 11-0 lead after 1.
- Betty Nelson ended her day at the half with four saves and only one goal allowed.
- Payton Magday opened the scoring in the second with her fourth of the year.
- Levy got on the board with her 12th of the year to make it 13-0.
- Pattillo set her career high with her fifth goal to make it 14-1.
- Osburn bagged her hat trick to make it 15-1 early in the third.
- Mottice added another off a feed from Godine to push the lead to 15.
- Humphrey notched the second of her career off a nice feed from Osburn.
- Mottice gets another hat trick and the Heels led 18-1 late in the third.
- Kaleigh Harden got on the board midway through the fourth to make it 19-3.
- Julia O'Connor got Carolina to the 20 goals mark late in the third.

- The Tar Heels current 30-game winning streak is the longest in the nation and the longest in program history. The 30-game streak is also the sixth longest in NCAA history.
- Sarah Gresham posted the 300th draw control of her college career during the game.
- Kaleigh Harden matched her season high with seven draw controls on the day.
- Addison Pattillo set a new career high with five goals. It was the eighth hat trick of her career, including three games with four goals.
- Eliza Osburn tallied the ninth hat trick of her career.
- Kiley Mottice posted the 13th hat trick of her career.
