Women’s Lacrosse, Five Tar Heels Earn IWLCA Academic Honors

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's lacrosse was recognized as one of IWLCA's Academic Honor Squads, while five Tar Heels were named to the Academic Honor Roll, the organization announced on Wednesday. Darcy Felter, Caroline Godine, Sarah Gresham, Kiley Mottice and Sophie Straka were named to the list from UNC.
To qualify for the team recognition, a women's lacrosse program must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year. For the individual honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
Felter had an undergraduate GPA of 3.937 while studying psychology at UNC. Godine earned her degree in management and society with a 3.517 GPA, while Gresham obtained her degree in information sciences with a GPA of 3.619. A psychology major, Mottice finished her collegiate career with a 3.596 GPA and Straka used her 3.81 GPA at Yale while studying cognitive science to qualify for the Honor Roll.
