No. 2 Women’s Lacrosse Hammers Virginia, 19-4

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 2 North Carolina women's lacrosse started strong and kept its foot on the gas in a 19-4 win at No. 22 Virginia on Friday evening. The Heels jumped out to a 6-0 lead and didn't look back. Chloe Humphrey scored seven goals and dished out two assists, while Betty Nelson (6) and Lexi Zenk (1) combined for seven saves.
Darcy Felter had another strong performance with four goals and an assist, while Addison Pattillo, Caroline Godine and Kate Levy each scored twice. The Heels defense was in fine form, causing 11 turnovers and only allowing 15 shots.

- Addison Pattillo gets on the board after Humphrey stole the ball at midfield and hit Pattillo right next to the crease.
- Darcy Felter added two goals sandwiched between a Humphrey second to give the Heels a 5-0 lead 10 minutes in.
- Caroline Godine made it 6-0 on a free-position bouncer from the left side.
- Humphrey with a beautiful BTB to make it 7-1 Heels.
- Kate Levy blasted her first of the day in the top right corner to make it 8-2 UNC.
- Humphrey with her fourth of the game and it's 9-2 Heels.
- Kiley Mottice converted a free position to make it 10-2 UNC.
- Pattillo notched her second on a free position for an 11-2 lead.
- Make it five for Humphrey off an assist from Felter to start the running clock.
- Felter opened the second half by securing her hat trick and followed it with a free position to make it 14-2.
- Godine made it 15-2 off the first assist of the season for GraceAnn Leonard on a scramble play.
- Eliza Osburn buried one on a feed from Eva Ingrilli to make it 16-2.
- Humphrey opened the fourth with her sixth and seventh of the game to push the lead to 18-2.
- Levy scored her second on a free position to give the Heels a 19-3 lead.
