No. 1 Women's Lacrosse Welcomes Florida State Friday Evening

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – No. 1 North Carolina women's lacrosse will host Florida St. on Friday at 5 p.m. on Dorrance Field. The Heels will look to continue their fabulous form and extend their 26-game winning streak. The game will be dedicated to mental health through a collaboration with Morgan's Message and it's also dollar dog night at the stadium.Fans are invited to a postgame autograph session as well.
The Heels match-up with the Seminoles will be broadcast on ACCNX with Matt Krause and UNC women's lacrosse legend Kara Cannizzaro on the call.

- The Tar Heels current 26-game winning streak is the longest in the nation. The 26-game streak is the third longest in program history and tied for the ninth longest in NCAA history.
- UNC continues to play one of the toughest schedules in the country. They have nine of the preseason Top 20 teams on this year's schedule.

- Carolina's 46 goals over the last two games tied the program record for goals in back-to-back games. As for a three-game stretch, the program record is 65 goals.
- Carolina's defense held opponents to 6.9 goals per game in 2025, which ranked first in both the ACC and NCAA. This year, the defense is tied for 25th nationally, allowing eight goals per game.
- Nine Tar Heels were recognized on various preseason All-America teams led by first teamers Sam Forrest, Chloe Humphrey and Brooklyn Walker-Welch. In addition, Kate Levy, Kily Mottice, Betty Nelson, Eliza Osburn, Addison Pattillo and Ellie Traggio were all recognized.
- The nation's best player, Chloe Humphrey, returns for her sophomore season in 2026. The reigning Honda Sports Award for Lacrosse and Tewaaraton winner was dubbed preseason Player of the Year by USA Lacrosse. Humphrey finished her stellar redshirt freshman campaign with an NCAA record 90 goals to go along with 28 assists for 118 points. She went on to win multiple gold medals with Team USA in the summer and was named the MVP of the Atlas Cup. So far this season, Humphrey has 17 goals and nine assists in four games. She had 15 goals and three assists through four games last season.
- Kate Levy is off to a hot start in '26 and ranks second on the team in pionts with 14 (7g/7a).
- Eliza Osburn has been stuffing the stat sheet in '26. After four games, Osburn has eight goals, five assists, nine groundballs, three caused turnovers and six draw controls.
- Darcy Felter and Addison Pattillo have provided additional scoring punch this season. Both currently sit on 10 goals through four games.
