No. 11 Men's Soccer, William & Mary Battle To Draw

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The No. 11 North Carolina men's soccer program (6-2-5) battled William & Mary to a 0-0 draw in their final non-conference match of the 2023 season, Tuesday night at Dorrance Field.
How It Happened
• After being deadlocked in a 0-0 opening half, Tar Heel midfielder Ahmad Al-Qaq forced a shot on goal in the 44th minute, with the Tribe goalkeeper making the save.
• In the 73rd minute, forward Quenzi Huerman was able to break the William & Mary backline, dishing to Juan Caffaro and Andrew Czech, with the shot attempt just missing over the goal.
• For William & Mary, Diogo Bronco nearly broke the tie in the 88th frame, forcing a shot off the post from the top of the box.
• Carolina goalkeeper Andrew Cordes made two saves on the night for the host Tar Heels.

• Carolina is now 16-2-3 in all-time matchups against William & Mary.
• The Tar Heels out-shot the Tribe 10-7 in the clash.
• Carolina sits at 5-0-1 in non-conference matchups this season.
