Rowing Lands 33 On All-ACC Academic Team

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Coming off one of its best seasons on the water in recent history, 33 student-athletes from North Carolina rowing made their mark in the classroom to earn spots on the 2024-25 All-ACC Academic Rowing Team as the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Friday.
"UNC is known as a place that is hugely committed to excellence both in athletics and in the classroom," said head coach Erin Neppel. "The number of women in our program who have made this list is a testament to that, and to the hard work and discipline it takes to excel here as a Division I athlete. We're really proud of these guys - crushing it!"
The Tar Heels finished sixth at the 2025 ACC Rowing Championships in Clemson, advancing three of their five boats to the Grand finals. Carolina's 2V4 boat snagged the squad's lone podium finish of the event with a time of 7:07.248 to come away with a bronze medal.
All-ACC third team honoree Sydney Hebert earned a spot on the All-ACC Academic team for the first time in her career, while All-ACC second team member Carmen Sagues garnered academic honors for the third time. Sagues was also recently named to the 2025 CSC Academic All-District Team.
