Rowing Wraps Day One At Ohio State Regatta With 3V8 On Top

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Sending five boats to the Ohio State Regatta, North Carolina rowing came out strong against three ranked teams with four of five boats finishing second or higher in day one of racing. The 3V8 came away with a first-place finish, beating all other boats by 10 seconds.

In its second regatta of the season, the 3V8 raced off to a time of 7:06.5 to win Carolina's opening race of the regatta. The 2V4 came in second with a time of 7:48.7 to edge out Indiana, while the V4 also took second to edge out the Hoosiers at 7:43.1. The 2V8 put up a battle against No. 12 UCF yet finished its race in 2^nd place at 6:46.8. The V8 rounded out the day with a time of 6:43.7 to finish third in its race.

"Lots of hard battles today, and we look forward to taking lessons learned into tomorrow and executing out there," head coach Erin Neppel said.
