Saturday At Dorrance Field
• Prior to the game, the program will honor its graduating seniors for their contributions during their time in Chapel Hill.
• Those being honored include: Paul Barton, Evan Bullotta, Antonio DeMarco, Nick Dupuis, Dewey Egan, Ty English, Cooper Frankenheimer, Michael Gianforcaro, Ryan Levy, Andrew O'Berry, Grant Pierce, Johnny Schwarz, Tyler Schwarz, Drew Scott, Edwin Shy and Spencer Wirtheim.
• Gates will open 30 minutes early at 10:30, with the Senior Day recognition beginning at 11 AM.
• The first 400 fans in attendance will receive a free Carolina Lacrosse t-shirt.
A Win Over Notre Dame Would...
• Give Carolina their 12th win over Notre Dame.
• Be Carolina's first win over the Fighting Irish since 2021.
• Be the Tar Heels' seventh home win of 2025, including the third ranked home victory of the year.
• Give Carolina a 3-0 start in Atlantic Coast Conference play for the first time since 2015.
• Be Coach Breschi's 261st career win, and 169th win as the Tar Heels' leader.
Dynamic Duo At Attack
• Owen Duffy (30 goals, 19 assists) and Dominic Pietramala (36 goals, 2 assists) have combined for 66 goals and 21 assists this spring for the Tar Heels.
• The tandem ranks second in the ACC in points per game among each team's top-two in points.
• On Thursday, the Tar Heel attackmen were named nominees for the 2025 Tewaaraton Award.
Szewczyk, Gianforcaro Take Weekly Honors
• On Tuesday, Mason Szewczyk (Offensive) and Michael Gianforcaro (Defensive) swept the ACC Weekly Honors following the 8-7 win over No. 12 Duke.
• Szewczyk became the first Carolina freshman to win ACC Offensive Player of the Week since Justin Anderson in 2017.
• On Wednesday, Gianforcaro was named to the USILA Team of the Week, for the first time this spring.
Getting Defensive
• The last two seasons, Carolina is 14-0 when allowing nine-or-fewer goals, and 105-13 under head coach Joe Breschi during his career when allowing single-digit goals.
• In 2025, eight of the nine Tar Heel victories have come while allowing single-digit goals on the defensive end.
• As of 4/18, the Tar Heels are fourth nationally in scoring defense (8.09 goal/game), leading the ACC in that mark.
