Men's Soccer Wraps Up Road Swing At Lipscomb Tuesday Night

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina men's soccer will wrap up its three-match road swing on Tuesday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m. (ET) when it faces Lipscomb in Nashville. The Heels enter the match at 5-1-4 (1-0-4 ACC), while the Bisons currently sit at 1-6-3 (0-1-1 ASUN).
Carolina's match with Lipscomb will air on ESPN+.

- This will be the first ever match-up between UNC and Lipscomb.
- Head Coach Carlos Somoano is in his 15th season at the helm of Carolina soccer (24th overall). He holds a career record of 181-64-53.
- With the focus primarily on RPI, Carolina sits at No. 14 entering the week, which is fourth among ACC squads.
- Carolina is currently on a six-match unbeaten run, winning one and drawing the other four against one of the nation's toughest stretches. The Heels have only conceded two goals over the five games.

- Luca Nikolai started all 39 of his games at James Madison, notching five goals and six assists. He entered 2025 ranked No. 9 on TopDrawerSoccer's Top 100 list and is a member of the Mac Hermann Trophy Watch List.
