PERSONAL – Kathryn Kernan Levy is the daughter of Jenny and Dan Levy … Goes by Kate … Mother, Jenny, is the only UNC women’s lacrosse head coach in program history … Mother, a two-time First Team All-American, played lacrosse at Virginia from 1988-92 and led UVA to its first national championship in 1991 … Mother was the leading scorer during the 1991 NCAA Tournament en route to being named the Most Outstanding Attacker and was the 1992 IWLCA Player of the Year, and was named one of the top 50 players in ACC Women’s Lacrosse history in 2002 … Father, Dan, played lacrosse at North Carolina from 1990-93 and helped UNC win the NCAA title in 1991 … Father was the 1993 ACC Tournament MVP … Has two older brothers, Ryan and Alec, who both play for the Tar Heels … Ryan is a senior midfielder and Alec is a sophomore attackman … Birthday is July 25 … Undecided on a major … Chose UNC because of the excellence in athletics and academics, and the people make the place so unique and create an infectious atmosphere that is special.
