CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced the 2026 All-ACC Gymnastics Team on Tuesday. Kaya Forbes, Sydney Seabrooks, and JoJo Valahovic were named to this year's team. The trio of Tar Heels made the team on three events – beam, floor, and vault.
The All-ACC Team consists of the top six ranked ACC performers on each of the four events – bars, beam, floor, vault – along with the top two all-around scorers. All rankings are based on the National Qualifying Scores (NQS).
Kaya Forbes has been a standout performer on vault throughout her career. The senior qualified for the 2025 NCAA Championships on the event, becoming the first Tar Heel since 2018 to do so. Forbes ranks third all-time in program history with a score of 9.925 on vault. This season, Forbes finished third in the ACC on the event with an NQS of 9.895. The Gonzales, La. native has recorded a 9.900 or higher on vault four times during her final season at Carolina.
Sydney Seabrooks has continued to impress in her rookie season at UNC. The freshman was tabbed ACC Specialist of the Week and Newcomer of the Week earlier this season. Seabrooks' floor routine has caught the attention of gymnastics fans all across the country. The Clearwater, Fla. native has recorded a 9.925 or higher seven times and ranks ninth in the NCAA on the event. In the ACC, the freshman finished tied for second on floor. Her career high of 9.950 is tied for the third-best score in program history. Seabrooks has also worked her way into an all-around competitor for the Tar Heels and has notched a team-high 39.525 this season. She now ranks sixth all time on the event in program history.
For the second consecutive season, JoJo Valahovic has garnered All-ACC praise. Valahovic earned All-ACC honors last season on vault and repeats this year on the event. The sophomore now adds All-ACC honors on beam becoming the only Tar Heel to earn the award on two events this season. Valahovic sits at third in the record book for both beam and vault. The Sagamore Hills, Ohio native has continued to be one of the best vaulters in the nation with an NQS of 9.905.
