CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's soccer (1-1, 0-0 ACC) travels to Athens, Ga., for a Thursday evening matchup with Georgia (1-1, 0-0 SEC). The Tar Heels and Bulldogs are set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network Plus.

Carolina heads into week two of the season coming off their first shutout win of the year, 5-0, against Siena.

The Matchup
Thursday's game marks the seventh meeting between the Tar Heels and Bulldogs and the first down in Athens. UNC owns a 6-0 all-time record against Georgia.

Carolina last played Georgia in 2024 where they topped the Bulldogs 4-3.
In their previous matchup, Olivia Thomas led UNC with two goals while Bella Gaetino (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) and Kate Faasse each added a goal.
The Tar Heels have shutout the Bulldogs in four of their six previous meetings.
Carolina's largest margin of victory over Georgia is nine.
UNC has met Georgia in two NCAA Tournament games (11/15/09 - Second Round, 11/17/22 - Second Round).

Carolina's five goals against Siena were the most in a home opener for the program since 2009.
Freshmen Riley Kennedy (Raleigh, N.C./Crossroads FLEX) and Lauren Malsom (Marietta, Ga./Holy Innocents' Episcopal School) have been called up to the U.S. U-17 National Team to compete in a pair of international friendlies in Spain.
Olivia Thomas (Grosse Pointe, Mich./University Liggett School) leads the team with 15 shots with four on goal. The forward recorded her first goal of the season off a free kick against Siena.
Carolina has held their first two opponents to just eight shots this season with six on goal.
UNC has taken 10 corner kicks compared to their opponents with a combined four.
