Women’s Soccer Readies For Matchup With Georgia

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – University of North Carolina women's soccer (1-1, 0-0 ACC) travels to Athens, Ga., for a Thursday evening matchup with Georgia (1-1, 0-0 SEC). The Tar Heels and Bulldogs are set for a 6:30 p.m. kickoff on SEC Network Plus.
Carolina heads into week two of the season coming off their first shutout win of the year, 5-0, against Siena.
The Matchup
Thursday's game marks the seventh meeting between the Tar Heels and Bulldogs and the first down in Athens. UNC owns a 6-0 all-time record against Georgia.
- Carolina last played Georgia in 2024 where they topped the Bulldogs 4-3.
- In their previous matchup, Olivia Thomas led UNC with two goals while Bella Gaetino (Dexter, Mich./Dexter) and Kate Faasse each added a goal.
