• UNC was second in New Haven, Conn., in the Yale Regional, shooting 19-under-par 821.
• Austin Greaser was the individual champion at 10-under 200, one stroke ahead of Ryan Gerard, who tied for second at 9-under 201.
• Greaser is the first Tar Heel to win an NCAA men's regional.
• Greaser, Gerard, David Ford, Ryan Burnett and Peter Fountain set the UNC record for strokes in an NCAA regional (821), which also equaled the third-fewest strokes in any 54-hole tournament in UNC history.
Individual Stroke Average Leaders
• Current Tar Heels hold the top four spots in UNC career stroke average and six of the 10-best single-season scoring averages in school history.
• Sophomore Peter Fountain played his 20th college tournament in the NCAA Yale Regional to qualify for the No. 1 spot in career scoring at 70.89.
• Austin Greaser is second in career average (71.38), Ryan Burnett is third (71.60) and Ryan Gerard is fourth (71.84).
• Fountain's 69.68 as a freshman a year ago is the lowest in UNC single-season history.
