Jordan Nilson joined the University of North Carolina Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning staff in January of 2019. She is directly responsible for all aspects of training for softball, women’s tennis and gymnastics programs. She also oversees all things related to the internship program for Olympic Sports.
Prior to UNC, Nilson served as Strength and Conditioning Assistant at NC State for two years. While at NCSU, she specifically trained the softball, men’s and women’s golf, and rifle programs while assisting with baseball, volleyball, men’s soccer, and both tennis programs. Before arriving at NC State she was an intern at the University of Georgia Olympic Sports, Athens Academy, and Lagrange College.
A native of Hawkinsville, Ga., Nilson earned her M.S. in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Georgia. In addition, she earned a B.S. in Exercise Science with a minor in Coaching from Lagrange College, where she played softball.
Nilson is certified through the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) and National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) as well as TPI Level 2 Fitness Certification.
She lives in Fuquay Varina with her husband Ken and daughter Austin.
