General Information: Three-year starter in the Tar Heel attack unit...comes into the 2000 season in the best physical shape of his career...looks forward to having a standout senior year for Carolina...is the younger brother of former Tar Heel lacrosse player Alex Martin, who captained the 1993 NCAA runnerup team and was a first-team all-America defenseman at Carolina in both 1992 and 1993.
1999 Season: Started all 15 games for the Tar Heels last season...scored 19 goals on 76 shots, the fourth highest goal total on the team...passed for 17 assists, equaling the second-highest total on the squad...had a season-high five points at Virginia with four goals (equalled career high) and one assist...had a career high three assists against both Colgate and Johns Hopkins...had four points in a game three times, including three goals and one assist in the win at Duke and one goal and three assists against Colgate.
1998 Season: Started in 14 of 15 games in 1998...was the Tar Heels' leader in goals, assists and points...took a career high 12 shots against Johns Hopkins...scored four goals in that same game and against Stony Brook and Duke...had a career high six points in the game against the Blue Jays...completed the season with 35 goals and 19 assists for 54 points...had a career high six ground balls against Duke and 36 ground balls for the season...final shot percentage of .372.
1997 Season: Played in all 13 games for Carolina and started 11 times...was the team's third-leading scorer with 25 points...was fourth on the team in goals scored with 18 and fourth in assists with seven...opened his career with a season-high five points against Butler on three goals and two assists...had a season-high four goals against Loyola (still equals his career high)...also had four goals against Radford...had three points against Navy, Delaware and Virginia.
