General: A returning letter winner in the attack unit...was an outstanding freshman attackman for the Tar Heels a year ago...was coached in high school by current UNC assistant coach Michael Burnett...spent most of his senior year in high school being double and triple teamed while drawing the opponent's #1 defender...was ranked by Inside Lacrosse Magazine as the top attack recruit in the Class of 2002.
2003 Season: Had a spectacular freshman year for the Tar Heels...was among the team leaders with 20 points...had 13 goals and seven assists on the season...was named to the All-Tournament Team at the 2003 ACC Tournament...played in all 13 matches for the Tar Heels and started on five occasions...played in both the midfield and the attack for Carolina...had four goals and an assist in games against Virginia in the ACC Tournament semifinals and against Air Force...had two goals in the win over Duke...had two assists and a season high four ground balls against Navy.
Prep: May 2002 alumnus of St. Mary's High School...was named the All-Metro Player of the Year in 2002 by the Baltimore Sun...also won county and state player of the year honors...scored 67 goals and had 44 assists for 111 points as a senior in leading St. Mary's to the No. 1 seed and the semifinals of the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference...he scored a season high eight goals against Calvert Hall and had seven versus St. Pauls and six versus McDonough...played most of his senior year with a torn meniscus in his left knee and a hematoma on his right shoulder...as a senior, he won the C. Markland Kelly Award as the best lacrosse players among the state's independent schools, the first St. Mary's player to win the award since 1996...named both first-team All-Metro and first-team All-Anne Arundel County by the Baltimore Sun in 2002...also played three years of varsity soccer and four years of varsity ice hockey at St. Mary's in addition to three years of varsity lacrosse...was named All-Metro in ice hockey twice...twice copped All-Conference honors on the ice...also was team captain two years...an All-County choice and All-Conference selection in soccer...played on lacrosse team which was ranked #8 in the country his senior year...two-time All-County, two-time All-Metro, two-time All-State in lacrosse...only the second player in history to make the Bay State Team twice...was named MVP of Bay State Game.
