2023-24: All-ACC for the second time in his career • Made a 5-foot putt for par on the 17th hole to defeat Florida State’s Brett Roberts in the ACC championship match • Led Carolina season in percentage of rounds in the 60s (13 of 31, 41.9%) • Shot in the 60s in seven of his last 14 rounds, including 67-67 in the first two rounds of the ACC Championship and a pair of 68s in the first and third rounds of the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional • Led UNC in stroke play in the NCAA Championship, finishing T18 at 2-over 290 (72-73-72-73) • Was his second top-20 finish in NCAA play • Four top-10 finishes (T3 at St Andrews Links Collegiate at the Jubilee Course, T3 at Augusta Haskins, T8 at Amer Ari Invitational and T8 at the ACC Championship) • Made his first collegiate hole-in-one on the 10th hole at Eagle Point in the third round of the Williams Cup.
2022-23: Averaged 72.08 in 37 rounds over 12 tournaments • Helped UNC win five team titles, finish first in stroke play at the NCAA Championship and advance to the semifinals in match play • One of four players in the 156-player NCAA Championship field to lead in par-5 scoring average (5 under total for an average of 4.38) and was one of 22 players to play the par 3s in par or better (he shot even) • Stormed back from two holes down with five to play to take the lead against first-team All-America Preston Summerhays in the anchor match in the quarterfinal win over Arizona State • Won the 14th, 16th and 17th holes (drove the 17th green and made eagle for the second day in a row) to go 1 up (match was unfinished when UNC clinched with Fountain and Summerhays in the 18th fairway) • Shot a season-best 3-under 67 in the third round of the NCAA Championship • Shot par or better in 14 rounds • Posted two of his four rounds in the 60s in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup at Seminole Golf Club (also 67 at Grayhawk at NCAAs and a final-round 69 at Colonial Country Club in the final round of the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational) • Three top 10s (T6 at the Stephens Cup, T9 at The Calusa Cup and T10 at the Williams Cup, all UNC wins) • Scored between 67 and 75 in all 37 rounds.
2021-22: Averaged 72.32 per round with 19 of 37 rounds at or below par and seven rounds in the 60s • Season-low round of 67 in the second of three rounds in the 60s (68-67-68) in the ACC Championship • Tied for first in stroke play at the ACC Championship with Clemson’s Jacob Bridgeman at 13-under 203 • The 13 under par was the lowest ever in ACC Championship play by a Tar Heel • Bridgeman won the title on the second playoff hole • Had two other top 10 finishes, T-6 at the Williams Cup (2-under 214), T-8 at Duke (4-under 212), and was T-12 at the Blessings (2-under 214).

Prep/Amateur: Tied for third in the 2023 Southern Amateur • Advanced to match play in the 2022 U.S. Amateur • Shot 64-68 over the final two rounds to win the 2020 North Carolina Amateur • Shared medalist honors in stroke play at the 2020 North and South Amateur, was the low amateur at the 2020 North Carolina Open and finished second in the 2020 Carolinas Amateur • Attended Broughton High School, where he won the 2019 4-A state high school championship as a junior by eight strokes • Selected to the News and Observer’s all-state, all-decade team (with former Tar Heel All-America Ben Griffin) • Coached by Anderson Marlowe and Steve Smith • As a sophomore, helped Broughton win the state title with a second-place finish in the individual competition in a playoff • Reigning North Carolina Junior Boys champion and was rated the No. 1 player in the state overall by the Tar Heel Youth Golf Association • Ranked No. 1 in the state in the class of 2020 by Junior Golf Scoreboard and No. 2 by Golfweek • Shot 7-under-137 in winning the 2019 high school title, the eighth-best result ever in that tournament • Also won the 2019 high school regional and was named the High School OT Golfer of the Year in North Carolina • A two-time all-state selection • Finished second at the AJGA Pinehurst Junior and third in the Carolinas Amateur in 2019, was an honorable mention Rolex All-America and finished fifth at the AJGA Wyndham Invitational in 2018 and reached the round of 32 at the U.S. Junior Amateur in 2017.
