General: One of the nation's top midfielders, he has been named a pre-season first team All-America by Inside Lacrosse and Face-Off Magazine...serves as one of the Tar Heels' four 2005 captains...three-year starter in the first midfield unit for Carolina...one of the hardest working and most unselfish players on the team and around the country...working to be a bigger goal-scoring threat on top of his role as an outstanding assist specialist...serves on the 2004-05 UNC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee...considered by many people to be the No. 2 senior high school midfielder in the country coming out of the prep ranks in 2001 and that has been proven with his play at UNC...has the uncanny ability to always make his presence known when he is on the field...in high school he was a marked man in every game as coaches designed defenses especially to stop him...is the younger brother of former Tar Heel midfielder/attackman Steven Will (2000-03).
2004 Season: Named a second-team All America by the U.S. Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association...also earned All-ACC honors... selected for the 2003-04 ACC Academic Honor Roll...has been named to the ACC Honor Roll three successive years... started all 15 games for the Tar Heels... finished the season with 15 goals and 19 assists (team leader in that area) for a total of 34 points (tied for third on the team)...has three assists in Carolina's opener against Massachusetts...had a career best game in a 14-11 win at Notre Dame... contributed a career-high three goals against the Fighting Irish...also had three assists in the match, giving him a career high six points...had two goals and an assist versus Maryland...also had a two-goal, one-assist night in the win over Limestone...sparked Carolina's 12-6 regular-season win over Ohio State with three goals and an assist...a week later against the same Buckeye team in the first round of the NCAA Tournament he had a game-high three assists while also scoring a goal in the Tar Heel win.
2003 Season: Had an outstanding sophomore campaign for the Tar Heels...started all 13 matches for Carolina...was among the team leaders with 22 points on 11 goals and 11 assists...also had 29 ground balls...matched what was then his career high for points in a game with four against Denver on two goals and two assists...had two goals and an assist against Johns Hopkins and two goals in the win over Maryland...also had a season-high five ground balls versus the Terps...had a goal and two assists against Duke and two assists in games against Bucknell and Notre Dame...2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
2002 Season: Shared the Jay Gallagher Award as the outstanding freshman on the 2002 UNC lacrosse team...also excelled in the classroom as he was named to the 2001-02 ACC Academic Honor Roll...tied for second on the team in scoring with 29 points...tied for the team lead in assists with 16 and had 13 goals...had at least one point in each of Carolina's 13 games as a freshman...had four assists in the win over Delaware...had two goals and two assists against Bucknell...had two goals and an assist against Navy and a goal and an assist against Fairfield...had two goals against both Ohio State and UMBC...had a season high six ground balls in the win over Delaware.
