General: An outstanding three-year letterman and starter on Carolina's front line...elected one of the 2005 captains for his outstanding skill level and leadership...named an honorable mention pre-season All-America by Inside Lacrosse...came to Carolina as one of the top ranked freshman attackmen in the country and did not disappoint in 2002...earned a starting spot for the Tar Heels on a full-time basis by the end of his freshman season...ending his freshman year tied for second on the team in points...continued to improve as a sophomore when he was the team's second-leading scorer...was also the second leading scorer his junior year...has remarkable strength and durability...plays a very physical game...can go to the cage against any size defenseman...handles physical play from defensemen well.

2003 Season: Played in all 13 games for the Tar Heels as a sophomore and started the last 11 games of the season...was the second-leading scorer on the team with 35 points...scored 24 goals and had 11 assists...also had 16 ground balls...came on strong at the end of the year...scored at least one goal in every game of the season...had two goals and three assists against Air Force for his top point production of the year...had two goals and two assists against UMBC...had a hat trick in the 14-9 win over Duke and in the victory over Stony Brook...had a goal and two assists against Bucknell...had two goals and one assist in games against Maryland, Johns Hopkins and against Virginia in the ACC Tournament...had two goals each against Navy and Virginia in the regular season and a goal and an assist versus Navy...had a season high four ground ball against Stony Brook...2002-03 ACC Academic Honor Roll selection.
2002 Season: Despite starting only five of UNC's 13 games, he tied for second on the team in scoring with 29 points...he started the opener against Ohio State, came off the bench the next eight games and then started the last four games of the season...finished up with 16 goals and 13 assists...set a UNC record for points in a game by a freshman with eight in the win at Fairfield...had four goals and four assists in that game and a season high five ground balls...all those totals still rank as his career highs for goals, assists, points and ground balls in a game...had a goal and four assists against UMBC, two goals and two assists against Virginia, three goals and an assist against Hofstra, a goal and two assists against Duke and two goals against both Delaware and Johns Hopkins.
Prep: A 2001 graduate of Yorktown High School...four-year lacrosse letterman there...captain of lacrosse team as a senior...also played football, competed in track and ran cross country in high school...All-America selection on the lacrosse team as a senior...was also named All-Section three times, First Team All-Gannett Journal News twice, first Team All-North County News twice and two-times All-Hudson Valley...twice chosen for the Empire State Games...led in points and assists at the Empire State Games as a senior...played on Yorktown teams which won four section I championships and three times made the state semifinals...his senior year Yorktown was ranked No. 7 in the nation...played on silver medal winning team at Empire State Games...finished his high school career with a 3.8 GPA and was named to National Honor Society membership...was a special education tutor...volunteered in a retirement home and was a Matt Kull Camp volunteer and referee...also served a civic internship at the town courthouse.
