2022 (Senior): Saw action in all 14 games and started 12 • Finished the season second on the team in assists (17) and third in goals (20) • Collected two assists, three ground balls, and one caused turnover in the season opener versus Richmond (2/11) • Scored three goals and dished out three assists against Johns Hopkins (2/27) • Notched two goals and three assists versus Denver (3/5) • Earned his third three assist game of the season against High Point (3/20) • Scored three goals against Bellarmine (3/26) and Syracuse (4/16) • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll
2021 (Junior): Started in 14 out of the 16 games for the Tar Heels • Finished the season with 23 goals on 68 shots with 20 assists • On the defensive side, he collected 14 ground balls and caused three turnovers • His 23 goals were fourth-best on the team, and his 20 assists were second-best • Opened the season against Denver with three goals and three assists • Scored a season-high four goals and added three assists against High Point • Notched three goals and three assists versus Virginia
2020 (Sophomore): Started all seven games at attack, scoring 29 points (13g, 16a) and picking up 11 ground balls • His 29 points and 16 assists ranked second on the team and his 13 goals were the fourth most by a Tar Heel • Had three-consecutive games with career-best point totals – five against Colgate (3g, 2a), six against Mercer (2g, 4a) and seven against Lafayette (2g, 5a) • Her four assists versus Mercer and five versus Lafayette also marked back-to-back games with career-best assist totals • Picked up a collegiate-best four ground balls and caused a turnover versus Lafayette • Tallied four more points (1g, 3a) at Johns Hopkins • Scored twice at Denver • Topped off the season with another five-point game (3a, 2a) against Bryant • Remainder of season canceled due to COVID-19 pandemic • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2019 (Freshman): Started all 15 games for the Tar Heels, finishing the season with 30 points (20g, 10a), 16 ground balls and eight caused turnovers • Led the freshman class in points and had the team’s fourth-most shots on goal with 39, also the most by a freshman • Had at least one goal in the first 14 games and tied teammate Timmy Kelly for the second-most goals on the team with 20 • Also had the team’s third-most assists with 10, another freshman-leading stat • Opened his collegiate career with three points (2g, 1a), a ground ball and a caused turnover at Mercer • Added a goal and a ground ball against Furman • Went back-to-back games with a goal and an assist versus Harvard and Johns Hopkins, adding two ground balls to his stat line in the Hopkins game • Scored two goals, picked up three ground balls and caused a turnover against Denver • Had a career-high four points with one goal and three assists with three ground balls and two caused turnovers versus Marist • Scored two more goals against Bucknell • Added a goal and a caused turnover against Cleveland State • Had a goal, an assist, two ground balls and a caused turnover at Maryland • Scored a goal, assisted on another and picked up a ground ball against Duke • Scored a career-high three goals on a career-high six shots at Virginia • Had another three-point game with two goals and an assist versus Syracuse • Tallied a goal and a ground ball at Notre Dame to round out the regular season • Had a two-point game (1g, 1a) with one ground ball and one caused turnover in the ACC first-round game against Syracuse • Took two shots in the ACC semifinal against Virginia.

Personal: Nicholas William Solomon is the son of Neal and Nanci Solomon • Born June 24 in Alpharetta, Ga. • Has an older brother, Nate, who played lacrosse at Syracuse • Major is undecided • Participated in UGA Dance Marathon • Delivered Halloween candy to charity every year • Helped with Special Olympics all through high school.
