General: Three-year letterman...a starter in the attack unit each of the past two seasons...will likely to retun to compete in the midfield where he played as one of Carolina’s top midfielders as a freshman before moving to attack as a sophomore...has been a solid and consistent performer each of the past three seasons...has career totals of 46 goals and 21 assists...has 67 career points and 87 ground balls...emerged as a force in the midfield unit as a freshman and then won a starting spot in the attack unit as a sophomore...one of the team’s top scholar-athletes...completed his first year at UNC being named to the ACC Honor Roll...was also named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll during his junior year...unfortunately broke his thumb in his first college practice but recovered nicely to have a solid freshman season.
2002 Season: Started the first 11 games of the season at attack before being switched back to play in the midfield the final two games...had 19 points on the season and was amongst top ground ball producer amongst the offensive players with 36 on the season...finished seventh overall on the team in points, sixth in goals scored and fourth overall in ground balls...had his career high for goals in a game with four against Delaware...also had his career high for ground balls with eight in the win over Ohio State...had two goals and an assist against both Johns Hopkins and UMBC and two goals against Bucknell and Navy...scooped up five ground balls in the win at Duke...was named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll for the second time in his three years at Carolina.
2001 Season: Was the team’s second leading scorer during his sophomore season with 29 points...finished second on the team in goals with 19 and third in assists with 10...started all 12 games for the Tar Heels in the attack unit...had his career best day against Pfeiffer with seven points in the season finale...equaled his career high that day with three goals...had a career high four assists versus Pfeiffer...previously he had three goals against Butler, adding one assist for four points...had two goals and two assists in the ACC Tournament against Duke...had two goals and assist in games versus Fairfield and UMBC...had two goals against both Duke in the regular season game and in the win at Virginia...had singles goals against Bucknell, Navy and Maryland and one assist against Delaware...had a season-high four ground balls against Bucknell, Delaware, Butler and Virginia...had three ground balls against Pfeiffer and two each against Duke and Maryland.
2000 Season: Won the Jay Gallagher Award as the team’s outstanding freshman player...shared that award with fellow midfielder Austin Garrison...named to 1999-2000 ACC Academic Honor Roll...had 12 goals and seven assists for 19 points while playing in all 14 games for the Tar Heels...had a season-high two goals against both Pennsylvania and UMBC...had a season-high three assists and season high four points against Virginia in the ACC Tournament semifinals...his season high for ground balls was seven in the regular season game against Virginia...had 25 ground balls on the season and 10 takeaways.
Prep: A May 6, 1999 alumnus of Dulaney High School in Timonium, Md....played four years of varsity lacrosse as attackman and midfielder...was a starting guard on the basketball team for four years and a starting forward on the soccer team for four years...a two-time first-team All-America selection in lacrosse while at Dulaney...as a senior he was named the Baltimore Player of the Year for the 3A/4A classification...named to the Maryland Bay State Team as a junior and to Maryland All-Star Team....selected for the North-South All-Star Game as senior...was a two-time captain of the lacrosse team and also captained the soccer team once...an outstanding student...competed for four years on Mind in Motion Team and four years on the All-Academic Team...an Academic All-America in lacrosse.
