Brian Cannon
Breschi on Cannon: A midfielder who is just a fun-loving guy…the comic relief of the group…plays middie…he’s an invert guy and a wing dodger…really smart and tough player…had a breakout season in 2016 after moving to midfield in mid-season from a reserve role in attack...a tough cover for anybody…can shoot and is very quick...plays with a ton of confidence.
2017 (Junior): Played on the second midfield unit, seeing action in all 16 games…tied for eighth on the team in scoring with 13 points…scored nine goals and had four assists to go along with seven ground balls…scored a goal in each of the first five games of the season…tallied twice in regular-season game against Syracuse…had a goal and an assist in wins over Furman and Lehigh.
2016 (Sophomore): Played in 14 games for the Tar Heels...shared award as team’s most improved player with Chris Cloutier...team’s eighth leading scorer with 13 points...ranked sixth on the squad in goals with 12...shared team lead in extra-man goals with Steve Pontrello with six each....scored on 46.2 percent of his shots...had a career high three goals against Syracuse in ACC semifinals, all EMO tallies...scored a pair of goals in regular-season ACC wins over Duke and Virginia...tallied twice in NCAA championship game victory over Maryland...named to ACC Academic Honor Roll...recorded over 130 hours of community service involvement.

Personal: Brian Paul Cannon is the son of Diana Cannon…majoring in media and journalism…was born in November 22, 1995 in East Northport, N.Y… has two brothers, Jeff, 23, and Matt, 16, and one sister, Lindsay, 19…notched over 170 hours of community service in 2016 calendar year…coached lacrosse with youth organization and assisted with local YMCA.

My best friend on my high school lacrosse team was Rocco Sutherland and he is now playing at Michigan.
Every high school recruit should dream of becoming a Tar Heel because the atmosphere the school creates.
Section #2: Your Interests
An ideal Saturday afternoon in the summer is spent by a pool relaxing.
My teammate with the best taste in music is Timmy Gehlbach because we listen to the same stuff.
My favorite professional sports team is the New York Giants.
The best movie I’ve ever seen on a lacrosse bus trip is Wedding Crashers.
The foreign country I would love to visit most is Italy because I have family there.
Section #3: Food
My favorite tailgate foods are pizza, Mac & Cheese and Dr. Pepper.
My favorite fast food restaurant is Taco Bell because I love the taste.
Sweet, salty or both? Both.
My favorite food made by a relative is Grandmother’s sweet potatoes with marshmallows.
My favorite Chapel Hill dining spot is Moe’s.

The person in history I would most want to have dinner with is Kobe Bryant.
People would be surprised to know I have seen almost every show on Netflix.

The most interesting person I’ve met at UNC is Timmy Gehlbach because he’s a character.
