General: Outstanding freshman midfielder who will contend for one of the spots in Carolina's top three midfield units.
Prep: Graduated from the Gilman School in 2012 where he played lacrosse under the tutelage of coach Brooks Matthews, a UNC alumnus...finished his career there with 39 goals, 19 assists and 89 ground balls...as a senior, he had 21 goals, 12 assists and 35 ground balls...his totals as a junior were 10 goals, four assists and 34 ground balls...had eight goals, three assists and 20 ground balls his sophomore year...also played football as a tight end, punter and linebacker...played soccer for Gilman as a striker and was a center on the basketball team for four years...was the captain of both the lacrosse and basketball teams as a senior...named the Baltimore Messenger Lacrosse Player of the Year as a senior...won the Tyler Campbell Lacrosse Cup as the Gilman MVP, the Scott B. Deutschman Teammate Award and the Peter Parrott Blanchard Award for his cheerful helpfulness.
