Men's Golf Adds Coltrane Mittag

Coltrane Mittag, a sophomore from Ashland, Neb., is joining the University of North Carolina men's golf team after competing last season at the University of Oklahoma.

Mittag competed in seven tournaments for the Sooners. He averaged 73.78 strokes per round with a low of 68 in the final round of the Puerto Rico Classic. He tied for 29th place in the Maridoe Collegiate.

A two-time Nebraska Player of the Year and the low junior in the 2024 and 2025 Nebraska Amateur, Mittag was the junior champion in the North & South Amateur in Pinehurst, N.C., in 2023.
