Sandhu Makes PGA TOUR Debut at 3M Open

Sihan Sandhu, a rising junior at North Carolina, makes his PGA TOUR debut this week at the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minn.

Sandhu qualified for his first professional start by winning the Augusta Haskins Award Invitational in April at Forest Hills Golf Club in Augusta, Ga.

Sandhu shot 68-67-66 to shoot a career-best 15-under 201, which earned him a spot in a playoff, which he won with a 3-foot birdie on the third extra hole.

The Ashland, Va., native is the sixth player to make his PGA TOUR debut in the last five years while a member of the UNC men's golf, joining Austin Greaser, Dylan Menante, David Ford, Maxwell Ford and Carson Bertagnole.
