Sheils Donegan, Sandhu Card 70s, Men's Golf 3rd At ACC Championship

Niall Sheils Donegan and Sihan Sandhu shot 2-under-par 70s on Friday to lead the University of North Carolina to third place in the team standings after round two of the 2026 Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Golf Championship at Shark's Tooth Golf Club in Panama City, Beach, Fla.

The Tar Heels were 3 under in the second round and stand third in the 15-team field at 5-under-par 571. Stanford and Virginia registered the low rounds of the day at 10 under par to claim the top two spots heading to Saturday's third and final round of stroke play before the top-eight teams square off in match play to determine the team champion.

The Cardinal are 23 under par, 16 strokes ahead of top-seeded Virginia. The Tar Heels are third at 5 under, Louisville is fourth at 3 under and Wake Forest is the only other team below par at minus one.

Four teams – Clemson, Florida State, SMU and Georgia Tech – are tied for sixth a 1-over 577.

Sheils Donegan (71-70) is 13th in the individual standings at 3-under 141. Carson Bertagnole (70-73) is tied for 17th at 1-under 143, Keaton Vo (73-72) and Grant Roscich (72-73) are tied for 24th at 1-over 145 and Sandhu bounced back from an opening-round 79 for a 2-under 70.

Stanford's Edan Cui (68-67) is the individual leader at 9-under 135, two strokes better than SMU's William Sides. Notre Dame's Jacob Modleski, the defending champion, carded the low round of the day with a 65.

The individual champion will be determined after Saturday's final round of stroke play.

The top eight teams will advance to match play beginning Sunday morning.
