No. 3 Men's Lacrosse Hosts Rival Duke On Senior Day Saturday

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The third-ranked North Carolina men's lacrosse team hosts rival and 17th-ranked Duke on Saturday afternoon in the regular season finale. Opening faceoff between the Tar Heels and Blue Devils from Dorrance Field is set for Noon.

Senior Day Presented By Carolina Alumni
• At 11 AM tomorrow prior to the Tar Heels' warmup, Caolina will honor 14 graduating members of the program.
• Tayden Bultman, Hayden Downs, Kent Goode, Leif Hagerup, Colin Hannigan, James Matan, Dominic Pietramala, Nick Pietramala, Charlie Pope, Kai Prohaszka, Alec Riddle, Graham Riddle, Caden Whaling and Matt Wrede will be recognized for their time in Chapel Hill.
• Additionally, 500 free Franklin Street signs and two fever points are up for grabs for all Carolina students who show a valid UNC One Card.
A Win Over Duke Would...
• Give Carolina their 46th win over Duke.
• Help the Tar Heels win three-straight games versus the Blue Devils for the first time since 2002-04.
• Be Carolina's eighth ranked win of the campaign and complete a perfect 8-0 regular season at home.
• Help the Tar Heels win back-to-back ACC regular season titles for the first time since 1991-92.

• James Matan's overtime game-winning goal lifted third-ranked North Carolina over No. 11 Virginia, 16-15, last Saturday afternoon in Atlantic Coast Conference action.

• Dominic Pietramala scored a first-half hat trick, followed by two goals each from Bair and Sage.

Duffy Named ACC Player Of The Week
• North Carolina men's lacrosse attackman Owen Duffy was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday afternoon.
• Last weekend in the Tar Heels' 16-15 overtime victory at No. 11 Virginia, Duffy posted three goals and five first-half assists. The weekly honor is the second of his career.
• The junior's five assists matched his career best, as his eight points in the game also tied his career high. The East Quogue, N.Y. product has posted a point in all 40 career games as a Tar Heel, including six games with five-or-more points this spring.
Trio Named Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Nominees
• The trio of Owen Duffy, Dominic Pietramala and Brady Wambach were named Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Nominees.
• The preeminent honor in college lacrosse, the Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
• The Tar Heels' representation of three players is tied for the nation's best. In total, the trio are three of nine players from the Atlantic Coast Conference who made the award's top-25.

• In March, attackman Dominic Pietramala became the 17th Tar Heel to score 100-or-more goals during their time in Chapel Hill.
• Entering Saturday, the Lutherville, Md. native is seventh on the Carolina career goals list, sitting 11 away from tying Bert Fett's career record:
