CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Three North Carolina men's lacrosse players were named Tewaaraton Award Top-25 Nominees, the Tewaaraton Foundation announced Saturday afternoon.
Owen Duffy, Dominic Pietramala and Brady Wambach collected recognition in the announcement. The preeminent honor in college lacrosse, the Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top male and female lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are made up of premier collegiate coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation.
The Tar Heels' representation of three players is tied for the nation's best. In total, the trio are three of nine players from the Atlantic Coast Conference who made the award's top-25.
Duffy leads the Tar Heels with 32 assists and 58 points, ranking second with 26 goals. The East Quogue, N.Y. product has posted multiple points in all 13 games this spring, including five-or-more points in six contests. Duffy is one of four ACC players this season with 50-or-more points, his third-straight season collecting 50-plus points.

The redshirt-junior has scored a goal in 11 games this season, including nine games with multiple goals. Pietramala's 2.8 goals per game on the campaign ranks second in the ACC.

The junior has posted 15-or-more faceoff wins in nine games in 2026, with five games of 20-plus faceoff wins.
