• Carolina hosts Wofford in the second game of the regular season for both teams.
• The Tar Heels are 1-0 after an 80-72 win over Western Carolina, while the Terriers are 0-1 following a 90-59 loss at Tennessee. The Vols led 34-31 at the half but shot 61% from the floor in the second half to pull away for the win.

• UNC scored the game's first 10 points and led by as many as 13 points in the opening half and again in the final minutes.
• The Catamounts closed within one at 58-57 with 9:35 to play.

• Sixty-six of Carolina's 80 points were by first-time Tar Heels (returnees Jarin Stevenson and Young scored eight and six points, respectively).
• The Tar Heels held WCU to 33.9% shooting from the floor. It was UNC's 29th-straight win when holding the opponent below 40%.
• It was Carolina's 22nd-straight win in a season opener and 25th-consecutive win in a home opener.
