October 6, 2026 | Women's Soccer
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced women's soccer weekly awards Tuesday afternoon. For the second consecutive week, Bella Devey was tabbed ACC Offensive Player of the Week. Cali O'Neill also represented Carolina women's soccer on this week's award list as the ACC Defensive Player of the Week, her first career conference nod.
Both players have played an integral role in the top-ranked Tar Heels starting the ACC season 4-0, including three top 20 wins. Devey has contributed five goals, while O'Neill has helped Carolina's defense allow only four goals across conference play.
Devey continues to be one of the nation's most dominant attackers, compiling 14 total goals and 29 points. The sophomore phenom leads the ACC in total goals and points while ranking second in the NCAA for goals scored. Most recently, Devey notched her fourth brace of the season to help guide the Tar Heels to a 4-1 victory over No. 12 Notre Dame. The Utah native's brace marked her third consecutive match with two goals and fifth overall with multiple goals. Her second goal against the Irish proved to be the game winner, her fifth of the season. Devey is tied for first in the league for game-winning goals. She now has three ACC weekly awards on her resume.
O'Neill earns the first conference award of her career after dishing out an assist and helping hold Notre Dame to just one goal in Carolina's win last Friday. The defender's assist was the first of her collegiate career. Defensively, O'Neill has contributed to seven shutouts for the Tar Heels, including one against Cal to open the ACC season.
