17 - UNC has a 17-2 (.895) record in linear TV games under Erin Matson.
5 - Charly Bruder and Ryleigh Heck sit in 5th in program history in career goals and career points respectively with the other right behind.

SPLIT THE FINAL ROAD TRIP
➤ The Heels came out swinging on Friday afternoon when they took an 8-0 win over Saint Joseph's.
➤ It was a homecoming for many of the Carolina players and staff who hail from Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. Four of the eight goals were scored by Pennsylvania natives, highlighted by Charly Bruder's fifth career hat trick.
➤ All three of Bruder's strikes came in the third quarter as part of a six goal onslaught. It was the most Carolina has ever scored in a single quarter since the move away from halves in 2019.
➤ Sunday afternoon brought a dogfight in Lynchburg against No. 17 Liberty with the home team taking a 2-1 win over UNC. Bruder was the lone goal scorer as Carolina pushed for a late comeback that ran out of time.
➤ The Flames have had the Heels' number more often than most in recent years with the teams 3-3 in their last six. Since 2021, only Iowa and Liberty have more than two wins over Carolina.
THE FORTRESS SHELTON
➤ Karen Shelton Stadium officially opened August 25, 2018 and has been host to countless Carolina Field Hockey core memories since then.
➤ Named after the Heels' hall of fame coach of 42 seasons, it is the only UNC athletic playing facility named in honor of a woman and was just the second time in school history that an individual coached in a facility named for themselves.
➤ KSS has played host to numerous postseason contests, including the 2018 ACC Championship as well as the 2020 & 2023 NCAA Championships (the Tar Heels won all three tournaments).
➤ It took more than three years and 42 total games before UNC took its first loss in KSS, at the hands of Liberty on Oct. 10, 2021.
➤ The team is 76-6 in the now nine seasons of play in the place they affectionately refer to as "Blue Heaven."
