Men's Lacrosse Ranked No. 6 In Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. . - Entering the 2026 campaign, the North Carolina men's lacrosse team was ranked sixth in the Inside Lacrosse Preseason Poll, announced Tuesday afternoon.
The Tar Heels, one of three Atlantic Coast Conference programs ranked in the top-10, finished last season with 10 wins, a share of the ACC regular season title and the 34th NCAA Tournament appearance in program history.
This season, the Tar Heels are set to face 10 programs ranked in the top-20: Princeton (No. 2), Syracuse (No. 3), Penn State (No. 7), Notre Dame (No. 8), Duke (No. 11), Army (No. 12), Harvard (No. 13), Virginia (No. 14), Johns Hopkins (No. 15) and Towson (No. 16). In 2026, Carolina returns four USILA All-America players from a season ago, Brady Wambach (First Team), Owen Duffy (Third Team), Ty English (Honorable Mention), and Dominic Pietramala (Honorable Mention), as well as welcoming the second-ranked recruiting class by Inside Lacrosse.
