Iadpluem Leads Women's Golf To Round 1 Lead In Chattanooga

Ing Iadpluem shot 2-under-par 70 and Helen Yeung carded an even-par round to lead the North Carolina women's golf team to the top of the leaderboard Friday after round one of the Chattanooga Classic at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn.
The 10th-ranked Tar Heels shot 6-over 294 to lead Wisconsin by a stroke. Georgia is third at 11 over and Duke and Florida are tied for fourth at 12 over.
Iadpluem has led the Tar Heels in each of the last two tournaments, finishing fourth at the Moon Golf Invitational in Sarasota, Fla., and second in the Yale Invitational West in La Quinta, Calif. Both Iadpluem and Yeung made a team-high five birdies in Friday's first round.
Iadpluem is tied for third place with the Badgers' Kate Brody behind Duke's Anna Cañado Espinal (68) and Georgia's Chantal El Chaib (69). Yeung is tied for seventh.
Carolina's Reagan Southerland is tied for 11th after shooting 74. Megan Streicher opened with a 78 and Marie Prats-Rigual shot 80.
With stormy weather expected on Sunday, the team will play the final 36 holes on Saturday.
