Women's Golf One Off The Lead At Landfall

Megan Streicher and Marie Prats-Rigual both shot under par Friday to lead the University of North Carolina women's golf team to a share of second place after the first round of the Landfall Tradition at the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington.
Streicher shot 2-under 70 to tie for fourth, while Prats-Rigual was 1 under and is tied for 13th.
The Tar Heels finished even-par 288, tied with Kentucky one stroke behind the tournament leader, SMU.
Carolina is one of six ACC teams in the tournament. Fifth-ranked Wake Forest is tied for seventh at 2 over, Duke is tied for ninth at 4 over, Virginia Tech is tied for 11th at 7 over, NC State is 13th at 8 over and Notre Dame is tied for 15th at 12 over.
Carolina's Helen Yeung shot 1-over 73, Grace Ridenour had a 74 and Reagan Southerland shot 76. Ing Iadpluem, playing as an individual entry, carded a 1-under 71 and is also tied for fourth.
Maryland's Surapa Janthamunee, Indiana's Madison Dabagia and Kent State's Veronika Kedronova are tied for the individual lead at 3-under 69.
Round 2 of three is Saturday.
