Fencing Heads To Philadelphia For Friday And Saturday Duals

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – North Carolina fencing opens 2025 this weekend split between Temple and Penn. The squad will fence on Friday at TU Pavilion before heading to the TSE Center for Saturday's slate.
Friday
Friday duals will be live streamed on Temple's Website. Fencing opens up against three ranked opponents starting with No. 11 Temple (women) at 3:00 p.m. EST. Both squads will take on No 4. Princeton at 4:15 p.m. EST. No. 2 John Hopkins (Division III) at 6:00 p.m. EST for the men, which is also the number fourteenth ranked team in the country regardless of division. No. 4 JHU (Division III) at 7:00 p.m. for the women's team.
Saturday
Carolina opens up the morning session against the number one division three team, New York University at 8:30 am EST. NYU is also the No. 11 ranked team in the country regardless of division. The New Jersey Institute of Technology (men's) is tied for 15th in the country and kicks off at 9:45 EST. Fencing follows up with another ranked team; No. 13 Sacred Heart (men's) at 1:00. Carolina closes out the weekend with a rematch against Ohio State (No. 6 men and No. 10 women).
