Kovacs Earns Earns Third Straight All-America Honor; Fencing Finishes 13th

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Sophia Kovacs closed out her storied North Carolina fencing career with her third straight All-American honor as she finished in tenth at the NCAA Championships.
Kovacs won eleven bouts during the championship, and she closed out today with three wins, including beating two All-Americans, Tamar Gordon from Columbia and Julia Cieslar from St. John's.
UNC finished in 13th as a team out of 33 teams from across the country.
Fencing competes in the April North American Cup in Los Angeles, Calif. April 10 through April 13.
