
Men's Fencing Falls To Notre Dame, 16-11, In ACC Championship

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - North Carolina men's fencing team fell to Notre Dame in the Atlantic Coast Conference Fencing Championship 16-11. The ACC runner-up squad posted a 3-1 record on Saturday.
Men's Team Championships
In classic Duke versus Carolina fashion, the first match of the day came down to the wire as freshman Cristian Porras delivered the victory, sealing the win 14-13.
The men's team followed up the close win with two 17-10 wins against Boston College and Stanford, which positioned them against Notre Dame to fence for the title.

Women's Individual Championship
The women's team kicked off the ACC Championships with the individual round. Nicole Milewski led the way for Carolina as she advanced out of the pool round. She drew the tough matchup of the No. 1 seed Kyle Fallon from Notre Dame. Fallon took down Milewski 15-6.
