Greaser Ties For 9th At Watersound

Carolina Finishes 6th at Shark's Tooth GC
The University of North Carolina men's golf team shot 1 over par in the final round of the Watersound Invitational to finish sixth in a 14-team field at the Shark's Tooth Golf Course in Panama City Beach, Fla.
Georgia Tech was 1 under today to win the team title with a 15-under-par total of 849. Alabama was second at 10-under 854, Notre Dame was third at 6 under, Virginia Tech was fourth at 2 under and Clemson was fifth at even par.
Alabama's Canon Claycomb shot a 3-under 69 today to take medalist honors. He led after all three rounds and finished 14-under 202 (67-66-69), eight strokes clear of the field. Georgia Tech's Ross Steelman was second at 6 under.
Junior Austin Greaser led the Tar Heels finishing tied for ninth, his fourth top-10 performance in six tournaments this season. Greaser shot 69-71-73 to finish 3-under 213.
David Ford tied for 13th at 2-under 214, Ryan Gerard tied for 34th (+3), Peter Fountain tied for 62nd (+13) and Ryan Burnett was 65th (+14).
Carolina returns to action March 20-22 at the Linger Longer Invitational in Greensboro, Ga.
