Field Hockey Hosts Saint Joseph's Sunday For Senior Day

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The top-ranked UNC field hockey team plays its final regular-season game of the fall on Sunday, hosting No. 9 Saint Joseph's for a 2 p.m. match-up at Karen Shelton Stadium. Senior Day ceremonies will take place prior to the game, which will be televised nationally on the ACC Network.
Carolina comes into the game 13-0 following a 3-1 win over No. 7 Virginia on Friday. Saint Joseph's is 12-3 after a 6-0 win at Davidson on Friday. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Hawks.
UNC and SJU are facing off for the fourth time. The Hawks won last year's meeting, 3-2 on Sept. 10, 2022, in Philadelphia. The only previous meeting in Chapel Hill was for Senior Day in 2019, when Carolina won 3-2 in double overtime.
After this game, the Tar Heels have just one more remaining in the regular season. They'll play at Duke next Saturday (Oct. 29) at noon. The 2022 ACC Tournament is also in Durham, on Nov. 1, 2 and 4.
