Track & Field Wraps Up Hokie Invitational

BLACKSBURG, Va. – The UNC track and teams finished another solid weekend of competition at Virginia Tech on Saturday with Day 2 of the Hokie Invitational at Rector Field House.
Tar Heels competed in five track events, including two relays, and in five field events.
Sydney Banks turned in the highest finish of the day with a third in the women's high jump with a height of 5-5.25 (1.66m), matching the performance that earned her second place in last weekend's Virginia Tech Invitational. Also on the women's field side, grad transfer Obiageri Amaechi placed fifth in the shot put with a throw of 48-9 (14.86m) in her first meet as a Tar Heel.
On the men's side, Kyle Reinheimer led three Tar Heels in the 800m with a fifth-place time of 1:51.35, a personal best.
Isaiah Palmer was fifth in the men's 200m in 21.63 and also helped the Tar Heels to fifth in the men's 4x400 relay in 3:15.37.
