2018-19: Did not compete during the indoor or outdoor seasons.
2017-18: Qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary Round in both the long jump and the triple jump, finishing with marks of 22-11 3/4 and 49-1 1/2 • Earned second-team All-ACC honors in the triple jump after finishing sixth with a mark of 50-7 1/4 and also collected a 12th-place long jump finish after jumping 23-4 • Hit a distance of 23-4 in the long jump and 49-1 3/4 in the triple jump for 11th- and 10th-place finishes at the ACC Outdoor Championships • Won the long jump competition at the Virginia Grand Prix with a mark of 24-7 3/4.
2016-17: Finished 38th in the long jump at the NCAA East Preliminary Round • Earned second-team All-ACC honors, taking fifth in the long jump at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships • Also competed in the triple jump at the outdoor conference meet (NP) • Ran a leg of the 4x100 that took first at the Virginia Grand Prix and jumped a personal-best 25-0 ½ (7.63 meters) in the long jump that ranks fifth in Carolina history • Took first in the long jump at the Battle of the Blues • Also took fifth in the long jump at the indoor conference meet to earn second-team All-ACC honors; finished 12th in the triple jump • Won the triple jump at the Doc Hale VT Elite, setting a personal best of 51-1 ¾ (15.59 meters), a mark that ranks fifth in UNC history.
2015-16: Placed 19th in the long jump and 14th in the triple jump at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships • Placed third in the Battle of the Blues in the long jump • Took third in the triple jump at the Iowa State Classic • Finished 12th in the triple jump at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
Prep: Competed in track and field while also playing football for two years as a wide receiver and safety • 2-time Mid-Penn champion • 2-time district champion • 2015 Pennsylvania Indoor State Champion in the triple jump • Helped lead his team to two-straight conference titles, two-straight district titles and a runner-up state championship finish • Named a national elite as as Junior Olympics competitor • New Balance Nationals Competitor • Broke the school record in the long jump, triple jump, 55-meter dash, 60-meter dash, and 4x100 • Helped lead his football team to an undefeated season and a Midwest National Championship while starting at running back and safety/linebacker at age 13 years old • Honor roll student.
Personal: Isa "Zay" Shamir Paschall is the son of Marilyn McFadden and Harry Paschall • Born November 6 • He is ambidextrous • Oldest of three siblings • His uncle competed in the Penn Relays • His grandfather was on the cross country, track & field and basketball teams at La Salle • Grandmother sprinted in the Junior Olympics.
