2017-18: A representative for the men's track & field team on the UNC Student-Athlete Advisory Council • Interned at the Coca-Cola Co. headquarters in Atlanta during the 2017 summer.
2016-17: Broke a 22-year-old 400H record and set a personal best with a 48.60 in the NCAA final at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, placing fourth and earning first-team All-America honors • Had the fastest time in qualifying round of the 400H at the NCAA East Preliminary Round and took fourth in the quarterfinals • Also ran a leg of the 4x400 that took 16th at the NCAA East Preliminary Round • Won the 400H at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships in what was an NCAA-leading time of 48.76 at the time, earning first-team All-ACC honors • Helped the 4x400 to a second-place finish and second-team All-ACC honors with the second-fastest time in school history of 3:04.27 • Only competed in three regular-season outdoor meets and once indoors • Took first in the 400H at the Virginia Grand Prix and the Tennessee Relays • Named an ACC Performer of the Week on May 2 • Named to the ACC All-Academic Team for the outdoor season and named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2015-16: Took 13th in the 400H semifinals at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials in 50.76 • Earned first team All-America Honors for taking third in the 400H at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and ran a leg of the 4x400 that finished 22nd • Had the fastest time in the qualifying round of the 400H at the NCAA East Preliminary Round and then finished fourth in the quarterfinals • Also ran a leg of the 4x400 that finished 11th in the preliminary round • Helped lead the men's 4x400 to a first-place finish at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships and took second in the 400H at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning first-team All-ACC honors in both events • Also finished sixth in the 110-meter hurdles at the outdoor conference meet, earning second-team All-ACC honors, and took 10th in the open 400 • Placed first seven different times during the outdoor season • Competed in the 60H for the first time of his career and took fifth in the event at the ACC Indoor Track & Field Championships, earning second-team All-ACC honors • Also finished 12th in the 200 and helped the 4x400 take second at the indoor conference meet for second-team All-ACC honors • Named to the ACC Academic Honor Roll.
2014-15: Earned second-team All-America honors for placing 12th in the 400H at the NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships and ran a leg of the 4x400 that finished 23rd • Had the third-fastest time in the qualifying round of the 400H at the NCAA East Preliminary Round and took fourth in the quarterfinals • Ran a leg of the 4x400 that finished ninth in the preliminary round • Took second in the 400H and helped the 4x400 team to a victory at the ACC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, earning first-team All-ACC honors in both events • Earned first-team All-America honors for helping the 4x400 team finish sixth at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships • Part of the 4x400 team that finished second and earned second-team All-ACC honors at the ACC Indoor Track and Field Championships • Also took 16th in the open 400 and ran a leg of the DMR that finished 10th at the indoor conference meet • Captained the USA Junior Track & Field Team • Finished first at the US Junior Track & Field Championships in the 400H • Took second at the Pan-American Junior Athletics Championships in the 400H.

Personal: Kenneth Joseph Selmon is the son of Angela and Bill Selmon • Born August 27 • His Father was an All-American wrestler for Nebraska • His mother was a city champion in mixed doubles • Brother plays basketball for Bates College.
