2024-25 (Junior): Competed in nine races across four events in her second season as a Tar Heel • Member of the 3V8 boat at the Cardinal Invitational • Raced with the 3V8 crew at the Rocky Top Invite • Earned two first place finishes with the 3V8 boat at the Lake Wheeler Invitational • Competed in the 3V8 at the ACC Championship • Named to the ACC All-Academic Team • Honored as a Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete.
2023-24 (Sophomore): Participated in 12 races across five events during her first season in Chapel Hill • Made her Carolina debut with the 3V8 at the Rivanna Romp • Competed with the 3V8 and 2V4 at the Cardinal Invitational • Helped the 3V8 to a win over GW at the GW Invitational • Rowed with the 3V8 at the Lake Wheeler Invitational and the ACC Championships • A member of the ACC All-Academic team.
Before UNC: Spent her freshman year at Campbell University, where she was a member of the swim team • Made the President’s List and the Big South Conference Presidential Honor Roll • At Holy Redeemer High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., competed as part of the volleyball, swimming and track & field teams • Earned all-state honors in swimming and set three school records • Two-time swim team MVP and team captain as a senior • Part of a district championship team in volleyball • Served as the Vice President for the Honor Society and Investment Club • Participated in the Science Olympiad • Wrote for the school newspaper.
Personal: Daughter of Kristine and Michael Bucknavage • Majoring in exercise and sport science with with a sports medicine minor • Participates in the Carolina Leadership Academy • Is part of the Carolina Pre-Physician Assistant Association • After graduation, plans to enroll in a physician assistant graduate program.
